Are you already enjoying your vacation, or are you still getting ready to go to the sea?
Summer and the time you spend at the sea are definitely the most carefree of the year.
And rightly so!
But despite all the fun, it is good to pay attention to a few things on the beach and in the water that could spoil your vacation.
Do you know what we’re talking about?

Sunburn
Sunburn is not as innocent as you might think. It damages your skin on top of being uncomfortable!
Plus, you have to stay in the shade while your friends are happily jumping in the water.
Make sure that sunburn does not occur: apply sunscreen every morning, which should have a protection factor of at least 30.

Sea urchins
We’ve all stepped on one and it’s really not fun! What happens then? – your mother pokes your heel with a sewing needle to dig them out. Ugh, uncomfortable and painful.
Urchins in the sea are otherwise a good sign – it means that the water is very clean.
But since contact with sea urchins can also be painful, just make sure you watch your step before you jump into the water.

Jellyfish
A jellyfish sting can really spoil your vacation since its sting is extremely unpleasant. Your skin continues to burn for a long time after the sting.
You can help yourself in various ways, but don’t rub your skin with a towel.
Ask the locals if they have spotted any jellyfish this year.
Mosquito and insect bites
Most of the time we avoid mosquitoes in the summer evenings. They can cause severe itching, so protect yourself against them.
Stings from other insects can be much more painful as well as dangerous.
Be especially careful when eating fruit. Wasps love it too!
Points to Consider
- Where are you going on vacation this year?
- Have you ever been stung by a jellyfish?
- Do you like collecting shells?
