Has the winter vacation already started for you, or are you still waiting for it?
School holidays for students from southeastern Slovenia started last week, and today those from the northwestern part of the country have started their winter break.
Winter sports fans will not be disappointed this year since January brought a load of snow to every corner of Slovenia.
What about those of you who are not into spending time outdoors in the winter?
During the winter holidays, between January 28th and February 12th, the Association of Slovenian Animated Films has organized a free screening of animated films.
During the holidays two sets of animated films (in Slovene) will be available on a special subpage of the BSF platform – Slovenian Film Database.
In the first set – The Heroes of our Series, which is intended for children aged 3+, kids can hang out with some of the most popular heroes of Slovenian animated films.
The second set –Super Neighbors, is for children aged 6+. It contains three short Slovenian animated films about being a neighbor.
Between February 6th and 10th, Ljubljana’s public institutions also prepared a series of interesting activities.
In Ljubljana children are able to attend daily workshops to learn about history in a fun way, create animated films, discover the secrets of the Ice Age, work with architecture, and much more.
In Celje during the holidays, the Celje Sports Association is offering free sports activities for children. Students of all ages can try swimming, skating, table tennis, bowling, badminton, and climbing.
It doesn’t really matter where you go. The main goal is to use the time for activities that make you happy and take a break from school!
Points to Consider
- Why is vacation important?
- Do you know why the winter break is a month earlier this year?
