Almost 3000 polling stations are ready for the most extensive elections in Slovenia’s history!
For the first time on Sunday, as many as five votes will be held on the same day.
More than 1.6 million voters will receive one white ballot containing all the candidates for the European elections, and four colored ballots for referendums. About eight tons of paper are needed for each referendum.
The following questions will be voted on:
- “Are you in favor of adopting a law that will regulate the right to assistance in the voluntary end of life?”
- “Should Slovenia allow cultivation and processing of cannabis for medical purposes?” and “Should Slovenia allow cultivation and possession of cannabis for limited personal use?”
- “Are you in favor of introducing a preferential vote for the National Assembly elections, which would ensure the voters’ decisive influence on the choice of MPs?”
On the other hand, the results of the European elections will be decisive since they will determine which nine Slovenian representatives will be sent to the European Parliament.
Important decisions for our future will be made there.

Points to Consider
- Do you think the referendum questions are simple or complicated?
